Job Duties:
Define and implement optical disk drive (Recordable DVD & CD) solutions; servo system definition and implementation of servo and write strategy sub-systems; modelling and implementation of write strategy and laser power control algorithms for optimal performance. DVD-RAM read and write channel development. Servo loop optimization and disk type detection algorithms and implementation for CD, CD-R, CD-RW, DVD, DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD+RW, DVD-RW and DVD-RAM disks.

Requirements:
MS EE or ME plus 3 years experience in optical storage industry with hands-on experience in Matlab/Simulink modeling & simulation, Orcad, and ARM processor development tools.

Job Duties:
Define and implement optical disk drive (Recordable DVD & CD) Firmware solutions. Implementation of Parallel and Serial ATA/ATAPI host interfaces, Encoding and Decoding of CD and DVD optical discs. Development of firmware to verify the operation of the ASICs. Debug of ASIC issues and the development of Firmware work arounds.

Requirements:
BS EE or ME plus 3 years experience in optical or hard disc storage industry. Hands-on experience in Embedded FW development, ATA/ATAPI interface, and ARM processor development tools. Requires good verbal and written communication skills. A working knowledge of CD, CD-R, CD-RW, DVD, DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD+RW, DVD-RW and DVD-RAM disks. A good understanding of ASIC design and strong ASIC debug skills. Some Travel outside the US may be required.
